  Formulates rudimentary aspects of complex analysis in terms of real matrix algebras, with special emphasis on how the interaction between the real and complex linear structures gives rise to the Cauchy–Riemann equations. The motivation for this perspective is to apply real methods to complex analysis.

  Suggests the concepts of stable partial maps and choice recursion to clarify a technical point in the standard proof of Urysohn's lemma about which most authors remain vague.
